Beatboxing Workshops

In school, you are taught to sing or play an instrument, yet everything can be an instrument and with enough creativity, you can turn this into music. As such the voice itself can manipulate many different types of sounds if you practice and train it.

Beatboxing is a tool to help achieve this musical creativity.

Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of mimicking drum machines using one’s mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. It may also involve vocal imitation of turntablism, and other musical instruments. Beatboxing today is connected with hip-hop culture, often referred to as “the fifth element” of hip-hop, although it is not limited to hip-hop music. The term “beatboxing” is sometimes used to refer to vocal percussion in general.

Live-looping uses an external machine to create loops from Beatboxing & Vocal Percussion to create music. From beats to basslines, singing chorus’ and harmonies. The spectrum of possibilities for creating music is expanded exponentially using live-looping machines like the Kaoss Pad or other such Loop stations.
