Wedding DJ Esperance WA
Calm in the lead-up. Dance-floor on the night. Esperance is the far-east coast — the whitest sand and the bluest water on the Great Southern coast.
Esperance is the most-photographed coast in WA, and increasingly a destination wedding location. The drawcard is the colour palette — turquoise water, white-quartz sand, granite islands offshore — and the relative seclusion. Couples who marry in Esperance want a wedding the rest of the family will travel for.
One hire, one face — DJ and MC. Esperance is the longest haul on the Great Southern circuit, and that means logistics matter. Starma trained in both DJ and MC so the wedding party isn’t briefing two separate vendors who’ve each driven five hours to be there.
A coast-and-cliff read, not a club read. Cape Le Grand, Lucky Bay, the Chalet Village — these are venues where the dance floor is often outdoors, often near water, and often with stronger wind than the wedding planner accounted for. The DJ has to be technically ready for that, not just musically.
Honest about the travel. Esperance is 4–5 hours east of Tenterden home base. This is the only Great Southern booking that means an overnight stay for Starma, and that’s reflected in the quote. The trade-off: you get a Great Southern DJ rate rather than a Perth-DJ-comes-to-Esperance rate, which tends to be significantly more.

“When our pre-reception timeline didn’t go to plan, James calmed our nerves and shuffled a couple of things around, and our guests were none the wiser. Couldn’t have imagined not having James there.”
— Alex Hughes
“So many core memories will be framed for life! James made the night punctual, upbeat, fun and comedic. James went above and beyond to make sure the night was special and fun for all involved.”
— Abbey Kennedy
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you for being the best DJ we could have asked for. You made our night one to remember and knew how to get everyone up there to dance. The music was on point and we couldn’t have done it without you.”
