Wedding DJ Tenterden & Porongurup WA
Calm in the lead-up. Dance-floor on the night. Tenterden is home base — Porongurup is the back paddock. Great Southern wine and granite country.
Tenterden is where Starma lives, and Porongurup is the national park ten minutes east. Weddings here are local-knowledge weddings: the venues are small, the wine is cool-climate, and the ceremony is almost always within sight of the granite domes of the Porongurup Range. The DJ doesn’t need a sat-nav to find your venue.
One hire, one face — DJ and MC. Tenterden and Porongurup weddings are usually intimate (40–120 guests). The wedding party knows everyone in the room. Having two separate vendors on DJ and MC reads as overkill in a wedding this size. Starma trained in both and runs the night as one voice — fewer briefings, no handover gap.
A small-room read, not a club read. Castle Rock, Duke’s, Karribank — these are venues where the dance floor is also the dining room. The energy curve has to thread between speeches, supper, and dance without making anyone feel pushed around. That’s a read-the-room skill, and it’s what Starma’s been doing for over three decades.
Literally home base. Tenterden is where the trailer lives. No travel surcharge. The gear is twenty minutes from any Porongurup venue and Starma knows every venue’s room shape because he’s set up in most of them already.
